Highlights from Blizzcon

Last Friday and Saturday was a treat for many Blizzard fans as Blizzcon 2015 was booming with new announcements and behind the scenes looks.  Let’s review at some of the big reveals.

Warcraft Movie Trailer

Right at the beginning of Blizzcon, we were treated with official trailer of Warcraft.  Looks like we’re going to get a lot of Humans vs Orcs action.  I know what I’m going to be doing June 10th

New Heroes and Battlefield for Heroes of the Storm

Three new heroes (Technically, 4 including Tracer from Overwatch but there was only concept art for her)  and a battlefield got announced at Blizzcon this year.  Greymane, a worgen assassin that uses a hand gun from range, but can transform into a werewolf to finish the kill up close.  Lunara, a dryad assassin who can hop over enemies with ease and like to chuck spears.  Cho’gall is the one of the most unique characters to date.  Since he has two heads, it takes two players to play him.  One controls Cho while the other controls Gall and both have unique moves of their own.  Towers of Doom is more of a “king of the hill” type battlefield.  Heroes take down towers and eventually they will build themsevles and help the heroes who last took it down.  This map even has a unique headless horseman boss to go with it.

Overwatch Bundles Announced

For those that are as exited for this game as I am, there are three bundles of the game each coming with the Noire Skin for Widowmaker if you pre-order it.  The $40 option get you the game with all 21 of the characters.  The $60 version add the 5 origins skins and digital goodies for all the other Blizzard games including free Tracer for Heroes of the Storm.  The $80 collector’s edition adds on the soundtrack, visual sourcebook and a statue of Soldier: 76.     Blizzard not only announce that there are three ways to buy the game, but there’s three way to play it as well.  Overwatch is coming for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
