Kickstarter news: Diego Comics launch new campaign!

Diego Comics, a family run, London based publishing house that has been operating since 2012, and they have a new project and have taken it to the crowdfunding circuit ahead of a projected release at the London Super Comic Convention (hyperlink to: https://www.confreaksandgeeks.com/london-super-comic-convention-2015-preview/) this March! That’s mighty soon, but, as the team point out: “the journal’s contents have already been edited and our graphic designer is finalising the proof right now!” – so, unlike comics, where you occasionally get creative delays, this journal is ready to roll, all it needs is a little love (kickstarter style) and the books will roll!

The European Comics Journal’s first issue will feature a number of interviews with the creative talents behind titles such as: Desdemona & Adam 2.0, Shadow of Mars and Orcs: Forged for War.
In addition to interviews with European writers and artists, there will be a feature on the art of translation, while another area to be covered in this first volume will be illustration techniques – and more!

The European Comics Journal is a kickstarter with a worthy ambition, the team at Diego Comics are pursuing this campaign to: “All of the money raised will be put towards printing costs and any excess will be used in paying our amazing contributors, editors and graphic designers, who all work for nothing but a love of European graphic novels!” The range of rewards on offer is very appealing; I would recommend checking out both the kickstarter and the site for Diego Comics (http://www.diegopublishing.co.uk/)
