For fans of Project Diva X on the PlayStation 4 or just fans of the series as a whole, Hatsune Miku and her singing vocaloids pals are back once again. Hatsune Miku Project DIVA: Future Tone is hands down the best in the series with vibrantly beautiful, 1080p 60 frames per second visuals. There’s also a massive amount of content in the game: two DLC packs at launch, fast load times, a wonderful selection of diverse songs, all of the customizations for the vocaloids available at launch, leaderboards, a survival mode, and stat tracking. One negative that I found with the gameplay, being an arcade port, is that some of the extreme charts and even the EX extreme charts are more tailored for the arcade controls rather than the PlayStation 4 controller. It is possible to pass songs on these difficulties but it’ll take some serious technical skill and lots of practice as the game judges a bit harder than previous Project Diva titles. Future Tone has everything any Project Diva fan would drool over.  This is Sega’s ultimate love letter to Project Diva fans that delivers a solid, long lasting experience with hopefully more content in the near future.
