The Arizona Matsuri a festival of Japan is truly an amazing event. For two days in February hundreds gather in Phoenix AZ at the Heritage and Science Park. Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm we celebrate Japanese culture at an outdoor location and I was lucky enough to attend the festival and experience it for myself again this year.
Dance teams, food vendors, cosplay contests, taiko drum masters and music performers are only a few different examples of what goes down at this celebration. With three different stages this beautiful festival can bring educational entertainment for people of all ages. It is a wonderful way to learn about Japanese culture.
