According a to tidbit released by Marvel today, Joss Whedon (Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will not be directing the two part finale to the 3rd phase of Marvel’s onslaught of movies. Instead, the movie will be directed by Captain America the Winter Soldiers directing duo: Joe and Anthony Russo.  The Russo Brothers have a very interesting directing history. Before they worked on the smash hit that was the Winter Soldier, they had brought two tv shows, Community and Arrested Development into a near cult following. I was very surprised at how well they pulled off a superhero movie. The Russo Brothers are also set to Direct the third and final Captain America Film: Civil War. If Civil War is even half as good as Winter Soldier then I will give them no lack of faith. Even still, things are looking good for fans of the franchise and Marvel movies in general!
