Crunchyroll Announces Exciting Spring 2022 Lineup!

Crunchyroll has announced their Spring 2022 show lineup! The massive update is their biggest lineup on record, featuring 50 new and returning shows.

The roster includes many highly anticipated anime, including the brand new adaptation of SPY x FAMILY. Originally written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, the story follows spy Loid Forger, codename Twilight, as he decides to create a cover family for himself. But his family isn’t as unassuming as he thinks. His adoptive daughter, Anya, is actually a telepath, while his wife Yor is secretly an assassin. The hilarious action show is scheduled to premiere April 9.

Another brand new adaptation based on a manga, Love After World Domination, is also scheduled to premiere in early April. Written by Hiroshi Noda and illustrated by Takahiro Wakamatsu, the series follows the forbidden romance between hero Fudo Aikawa, A.K.A. Red Gelato of the Gelato Five, and Desumi Magahara, top general and villainess of the evil organization Gekko. The story follows their obstacle-ridden courtship as they try to keep it a secret, while also navigating the hardships of new love.

New shows aren’t the only exciting scheduled premieres! Many highly-anticipated continuations are coming back this year, including the second season of The Rising of the Shield Hero, scheduled for April 6, and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic-, scheduled for April 8. Simulcasts from the Winter 2022 season will also continue, including One Piece, Requiem of the Rose King, and many more.
