To no surprise, The Doctor Who Christmas Special 2013 was a smashing hit! 10 million viewers watched Matt Smith’s final performance as The Doctor saving another world from doom once again.
According to Deadline, the episode peaked at 10.2 million viewers. BBC was very pleased with the viewership from this year than last. It was a 27% increase from last year’s christmas special. I guess it helped the ratings introducing Matt Smith’s replacement, the very talented Peter Capaldi.
