Kaho Shibuya’s Favorite Animes Of 2020

Part 2

Iruma-Kun, the world’s biggest pushover, gives you warmth and strength as he struggles to live in the demon society while hiding his identity as a human. He was somehow sold to a powerful demon called Sullivan by his terrible parents, as the demon wants to adopt Iruma as his grandson. We all suspect his intentions, yet later on, we find out he is genuinely fond of Iruma and loves to spoil him on every occasion.

Being born with such a horrible birth mother and father, Iruma has gone through hardships as a child, learning many survival skills, including aikido, avoiding others’ attacks, eating a lot, fixing machinery, and protecting himself not to hurt others. So when he gets gifted a ring of magic power by Sullivan to pretend to be a true demon, he does quite a good job. He is always nervous and unconfident but manages to come back with an achievement that no one expected besides himself.

This series is expecting a second season. Furthermore, I cannot wait to see Iruma-kun further because as the episode goes on, the more colorful his environment becomes, with more and better interpersonal relationships. By the way, the manga loves to use a double-page spread for emotional scenes, so choose your device setting wisely before reading on a tablet or smartphone.

More characters will be brought. Their personalities will be discovered in the next season. I can’t wait to see all the potential romantic possibilities around Iruma grow after seeing what they did with the first season of the anime adaptation. The OP and ED were toxically catchy. I hope they can bring the same if not more energy again. As a manga reader, I can assure you the story is enough to make the new season better.
