New Details Unveiled for Jujutsu Kaisen 0!

New details from Crunchyroll have arrived for the premiere of Jujutsu Kaisen 0! Opening in theaters in the U.S. on March 18, the movie is highly anticipated by fans, especially after rave reviews from Japan.

Crunchyroll unveiled a new trailer, images, and even the English voice cast on Feb. 25 as a complement to tickets for the movie going on sale. The new trailer showcases the plot of the movie with some of our favorite characters, including Maki Zen’in, Toge Inumaki, Panda, and, of course, Satoru Gojo. It also brings Suguru Geto, a well-known villain from the series, to center stage, while introducing us to Yuta Okkotsu.

Yuta and Rika

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 focuses on the journey of Yuta, starting with a tragedy that kills his best friend and turns her into a curse, haunting him with her death. He enters Jujutsu High in hopes of finding his reason to live, only to find himself helping his new friends stop Geto’s plans of the massacre. Presented as a prequel to the popular Jujutsu Kaisen series, the movie takes place in the same exciting and dark world.

Yuta is voiced by English voice actress Kayleigh McKee, known for her roles in Sasaki to Miyano, Beastars, and more.

Anairis Quiñones, known for her role as Echidna in Re: Zero, Starting Life in Another World among many others, plays Rika, while Allegra Clark, Xander Mobus, and Matthew David Rudd join the cast as Maki, Toge, and Panda. Kaiji Tang reprises his role as Gojo, while Lex Lang takes on Geto.

The 105-minute movie crashed through box office records, becoming Japan’s top-grossing film of 2021 and earning over 10 million yen (or 90 million USD). Directed by Sunghoo Park and animated by MAPPA, the film will be available in theaters both with English subtitles and dubbed, so fans can choose their favorite option.

More information, including ticket purchasing, is available on Crunchyroll’s site, https://www.crunchyrollmovienight.com/. Premiering on March 18, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will arrive in more than 1500 theaters nationwide, and even will be available in select U.S. IMAX theaters.
